GRAMMY Song of the Year Winners, In One Playlist

Last updated: 2026-05-31

Here is a Spotify playlist featuring every GRAMMY Song of the Year winner, starting from the award’s very first presentation in 1959.

Song of the Year is a special category because it honors the songwriting — the lyricists, the composers, the storytellers who shape the emotional core of a track. By contrast, Record of the Year recognizes the performance and production of a song, celebrating the artist, producer, recording engineer, and mixer.

As of May 2026, the playlist features 69 songs with a total runtime of about 4 hours. The direct link is here and it is also embedded below. For those interested in fascinating details and a complete list of nominees, winners and songwriters, Wikipedia has a dedicated article here.

Rewriting Kumardubi on Wikipedia

For a long time, every time I opened the Wikipedia page for Kumardubi, the place where I grew up, I felt a mix of nostalgia and the urge to rewrite it. The article had a fair amount of information, but it felt outdated, missed many details and there was scope for improvement in the structure.

This year, I finally decided to copy it to my sandbox and undertake a major rewrite. I updated the industrial information, expanded historical details, adding details on education and tourism, and added reliable citations from government reports, newspapers and archival sources.

Below, I am keeping a replica of the content of the article as it looks after my final update.

Movie Review: Animal Farm: A Cautionary Tail (2025)

I went to see the 2025 adaptation of "Animal Farm" at Cinemark Fallen Timbers 14 and XD, it was pretty cool overall. Directed by Andy Serkis, the movie presents the story in impressive animation.

The story is based on George Orwell's 1945 novella that satirizes the 1917 Russian Revolution and the rise of Stalinism. The movie follows the revolution at Manor Farm, where the animals revolt against their human master with the aim to set up a society where all animals are equal. But the pigs, led by Nepoleon, seize power and establish a brutal dictatorship in association with a ruthless billionaire Frieda Pilkington. The pigs rewrite history, exploit the working animals, and eventually adopt the same oppressive behaviors as the humans. The story is seen through the eyes of a new character, Lucky, a young piglet who admires Nepoleon but slowly realizes that the revolution is sold out and the initial ideals of freedom have evolved into a corrupted tyranny. Lucky leads a group to go against the tyranny.

Quotable quote: “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”
